My Post-Travel Reset Routine
“No sleep, bus, club, another club, another club, plane, next place.”
I finally touched down in LA yesterday after over two months of traveling. I’m only here for a week before I leave again, so this is my reset routine.
First thing: I get RIGHT into the time zone. No exceptions. This trip was easier since I stopped in Boston/NYC in between Europe and LA, but honestly, adjusting the second you land is key.
When I get home, I’m always grateful that I left the place spotless—fresh sheets, no laundry in the hamper, plenty of water bottles. Obviously there are a ton of packages waiting, so I tear into those first. Then I unpack immediately, throw in a load of laundry, chug water, and put everything away.
Next stop is an infrared sauna session. Quick dry brush before I go in, and contrast therapy if I can squeeze it in. On the way back, I order Goop Kitchen. Brentwood Chinese Chicken Salad but with GCC maple mustard vinaigrette instead of carrot ginger vinaigrette.
Then comes the deep everything shower, which honestly deserves its own post. It always involves my favorite C & The Moon body scrub, shaving, a deep hair mask (this one I’ve raved about a million times), and a face scrub.
After that, I throw on my all-time fav robe, set up my PEMF mat on the couch, and eat Goop Kitchen while watching TV or scrolling TikTok. Bliss.
The rest of the week I’ll do a a 4–5 day Methodology reset (Use code JULIA15 for 15% off!)
And of course, my maintenance appointments:
Brows at Striiike with Calvin
Acupuncture
Nails at Secretive Nail Bar in Santa Monica
Body scrub at Olympic Spa (truly the best before or after a trip)
