Julia Lynch probably needs no introduction because so many of you are here because of her many generous mentions of me and my Substack. And Julia’s community, like her, is unmatched: whip-smart women with impeccable taste and even better discernment.
Believe it or not, Julia and I met in college many moons ago and stayed in touch through Instagram. Watching her evolve into a powerhouse content creator, career coach, and business strategist has been nothing short of inspiring. She is the definition of gets shit done—just a few months ago, we had breakfast, and by the time her cab ride home was over, she had made ten introductions for me.
Her network is unparalleled, not just because it’s vast but because she takes such a thoughtful approach to everything she shares and everyone she connects. Case in point: last year, I sent my own sister to Julia because I knew she needed a sharp, unbiased perspective, and Julia was the only person I trusted to give it to her.
I’m so happy to share Julia’s Entire Personality (which overlaps a lot with mine!)
My beloved lymphatic drainage & compression leggings
Fully crediting Julia (Casella) for this magic garment. Julia posted about these leggings years ago, and while I implicitly trust all of her recommendations, I was dubious. Leggings that reduce post-travel bloat and cellulite? Sounds like a QVC scam. But it's not -- and now they're the only leggings I wear. If I'm going to invest in a pair of leggings, I want them to do something for me -- and these deliver. I never travel without them, and see a huge transformation in my bloating post-travel. I sport them 2 - 3 days per week, and like every woman, grapple with the devil of cellulite. After just a few weeks of wear, I saw a reduction in cellulite!
My 2-in-1 USB-C & iPhone portable charger
Throw all of your other portable chargers away—this is the grand dame. So many chargers are BYO cords. I have enough sh*t floating around in my bag—I sure as hell don't need a mess of cables. This charger comes equipped with USB-C and iPhone cords, making it easy to charge your phone, AirPods, and/or computer at the same time. This thing has enough wattage to charge your computer in a pinch. It's saved me on planes a few times when my under seat plug is broken and my laptop is dying. Always have one of these charges on me at all times!
I'm not just kissing Julia's ass—her recs really are that good. These cookies are packed with protein (15g - 17g per cookie) and taste like Levain. When I think of protein cookies, I think of brands like Lenny's & Larry's—chalky, dry, and sugar bombs with no actual health benefits. But these cookies are the total opposite. Made with a proprietary protein flour and grass-fed French butter, they're healthy, indulgent, and actually satisfy your sugar cravings. A rare combination. Even my fiancé loved them and didn't suspect they were healthy at all—he can usually suss that stuff out in a second.
My beloved Madewell suede crossbody that gets mistaken for The Row
I'm all about practicality. I recently took a trip to Japan, and splurged on a vintage Chanel bag that I love. While I'm obsessed with the bag (it's a fun striped version vs. your basic bitch classic flap), I've used it exactly once since I got back last week. Why? It sits awkwardly and it's meant to be a shoulder bag, not a crossbody. I need to get the chain extended. Who wants a bag that comes with admin?! By contrast, I've worn this suede crossbody for months straight. It holds a TON (phone, snacks, small notebook, portable charger, hand sanitizer, and more), and is the perfect bag for travel and crazy days when you're out and about the entire day. $148, but looks way more expensive. I have it in olive and love it so much that I got the navy for Christmas.
A hack—I often wear backwards if I'm wearing an outfit with silver hardware and I don't want the gold to clash!
It's frigid in NYC right now. And I find the sweater/jacket struggle to be a perpetual problem. Do I wear my adorable chunky fisherman cardigan and freeze to death? Or wear something blah that actually fits under my coat? This jumpsuit is the perfect
I know Amber Katz also bought the jumpsuit earlier this year and became an instant fan.
Metallic hair ties that look like jewelry
Here's a confession. I...don't do my own hair. I've tried all of the lotions, potions, and gadgets. I've been blessed with thick hair, and every time I *try* to DIY a blowout, it just ends up looking like I'm back in seventh grade playing with my mom's straightener. The back looks terrible and the whole thing took me two hours. A blowout every five or six days is my saving grace. But on day five, things start looking a little flat. These metallic hair ties are the ultimate hair accessory—they cleanly pull back my hair and add flair to my outfit. Jewelry and function in one. Many people assume these are designer...no. Just good 'ol Amazon for $9.
On that front, I use a lot of dry shampoo. Something I don't understand is the world's obsession with a particular brand beginning with C. Sure, the product is great...but the application sucks. The powder gets everywhere and I feel way more Pablo Escobar than Sally Hershberger. So I decided to hunt for a new favorite. This brand is fantastic, and so is the application (a non-aerosol powder). Apply it directly to your hair, zhuzh it up, and you're golden.
White chocolate cherry biscotti that tastes like Nonna made it
I'm getting married this year! Which I'm super excited about...but the pressure to eat healthy & look good has never been higher. (Plus, when I bought my wedding dress, my mom asked what would happen to my dress if I "randomly gained 40 pounds." Um...crawl in a hole?) So I'm always on the hunt for lightened-up sweet treats that are indulgent and better-for-you. Though Maison Methodologie cookies are supreme, a more budget-friendly option is this biscotti. When I dream of cookies, biscotti doesn’t even enter my headspace. Not trying to piss off any Italians…but a lot of biscotti is dry and leads to expensive dental work. Until I was lured by these at the Juice Press checkout. So, so good and 125 calories per bag.

As a fellow protein snack aficionado I need to try these cookies asap
Thank you for the shout-out, Julia Lynch! I love that jumpsuit and wearing weekly to this day. It's magic. It even fit when I was 9 months pregnant.
