Christine Pierson—aka Christine Pierso, as I still jokingly call her (a silly inside joke from 10 years ago when Snapchat wouldn’t let her use her full name)—is a PR powerhouse. She’s currently the Vice President of Communications & Events at Caudalie, but more importantly, she’s the absolute best in the PR game. You know how you literally see Caudalie everywhere? Yeah, that’s her.
We met a decade ago at Birchbox, and from day one, Christine stood out. I’ve been in this industry since I was 19, and I can say with complete confidence: no one does it like her. Her thoughtfulness is unmatched. Christine doesn’t just send a gift—she creates a personalized, next-level moment that makes you feel genuinely seen. And she does it all with such grace and ease. Her events have a 100% attendance rate, and she remembers important details about everyone.
A few months ago, I was talking to an influencer friend who said, “No one does PR like Caudalie.” And I said, “No—no one does it like Christine Pierson.”
She is truly a gem. It’s a gift to know her, to be in her orbit, and—just like everything else she touches—her guest Substack is thoughtful, meticulous, and full of heart. I feel so lucky to call her a friend.
Unreasonable Hospitality Book
Unreasonable Hospitality is a playbook for success in creating extraordinary experiences that forge lasting connections—something that resonates deeply with anyone in Communications and Events (or any industry, really). At its core, the book is about the power of intentionality and exceptional service, a mindset that not only defines my role but also fuels my personal passion for making people feel truly seen and cared for. My team has heard me rave about this book endlessly because, to me, hospitality isn’t just about service—it’s about impact. The way you make people feel has the power to transform seemingly small moments into lasting and meaningful memories.
Táche Pistachio Milk Latte
Don’t get me wrong—I’m all for a cozy café moment, and luckily, Táche (pronounced like pis-táche-io) is served at so many of my favorite NYC spots. But when my schedule’s packed, I reach for my ‘Táche stash’ in the fridge. These ready-to-drink pistachio milk lattes are a total lifesaver —smooth, ridiculously delicious, and perfect for those on-the-go days when I still want that café-quality flavor.
Santa Maria Novella Tabacco Toscano Scented Wax Tablets
I have the Santa Maria Novella Tabacco Toscano Scented Wax Tablets hanging in all of my closets and I often pack them in my suitcase. Their subtle, yet lasting fragrance keeps clothes and linens feeling fresh without ever being overwhelming. It's a discreet touch of luxury that lingers just the right amount.
Caudalie Self-Tan Sun Drops
I’ve been with Caudalie for eight years, and the most common question I get is: Which product do you reach for the most? While I swear by the Premier Cru Rich Cream day and night (it’s a must-have for me), my latest obsession is blending it with the new Self-Tan Drops. Just 4 drops for a natural, sun-kissed glow. I’ve tried countless self-tanners, but these are the first that don’t clog my pores.
Aquazzura Bow Tie Pump 105
I couldn’t find a heel that captures refined femininity quite like this one. I’m not one for impulse buys, so these lived on my Pinterest board for years. Architecturally stunning and effortlessly versatile, they complement everything from a sharp pantsuit to a cocktail dress. They’re the unicorn of heels—chic, surprisingly comfortable and worth every penny.
BonBon’s Sweet Wildberry Fish
My Swedish Fish, leveled up — these vegan, gluten-free treats have taken over as my new favorite. My friends often joke that I’m like Mary Poppins with everything in my bag — with my endless supply of sweet treats in my bag. While the shop in the Lower East Side is so charming, the line is not, so I prefer to pick them up at the MoMa store in SoHo or order online.
Mini Disco Ball
All I can say is, sparks joy. This tiny disco ball is the life of the party — the perfect, unexpected charm. It also makes an excellent gift for friends who could use a little extra sparkle and energy.
Remedy Place
After 12 years in this city, I’ve never seen a space that blends wellness and luxury so seamlessly. Remedy Place has perfected the balance of high-performance and deep relaxation, all while offering a level of privacy no one else in NYC can match. After a long workday, nothing hits quite like their infrared sauna pods—the ideal detoxifying, stress-melting escape. And as someone who’s a branding enthusiast, I have to mention: even their ice cubes are branded. Remedy Place will soon be opening in the Seaport in Boston, so I’ll definitely be stopping in for an ice bath whenever I’m back home.
Officine Universelle Buly – The Rational – The Benjamin Comb
I’ve always had an unexplainable appreciation for the little everyday luxuries—the kind of details that might go unnoticed by most but feel like a quiet indulgence just for me. My mom got me this comb while we were in Paris and it’s craftsmanship at its finest.
Bric’s Luggage
Personally, I’m team soft-shell carry-ons—call it a hot take, but I’m all in on this one. Hard-shell cases may look more sleek and indestructible, but truthfully, you’re not squeezing in that extra outfit, and I refuse to play luggage Tetris every time I pack. Bric’s, however, gets it right – flexible, refined and tailored for travelers who pack like they’re moving, but still believe in the power of the carry-on.
Max Family Garden
After six years living in DUMBO, this little garden has remained a quiet constant. My early mornings here—before the crowds and noise—still feel like a hidden gift.
The Nori Press
I travel frequently for work, and I’ve found that hotel irons are often unreliable — either missing, malfunctioning, or straight up medieval. This is one keeps everything crisp and polished.
Jolie Filtered Showerhead
Jolie filters out chlorine, heavy metals, and other contaminants from your shower water. I didn’t realize how much of a difference filtered water could make until I tried this — now I can’t imagine going back. My skin feels more hydrated, and my hair is noticeably healthier and smoother. The sleek, elevated design is a bonus, and the water pressure is chef’s kiss.
Spiritum
I stumbled into this boutique in Paris completely by chance. I’d never smelled anything like it. The space itself almost feels otherworldly. Now, I go every time I’m in Paris. What’s wild is that I’ve only ever smelled it on one other person — on the subway in New York. I actually stopped him and asked, “Are you wearing Spiritum?” And he was. We ended up having a great conversation. It’s that kind of scent — effortlessly magnetic.

this is such a fun series idea
Love Buly! I have a personalized lip balm from there and have given so many times as gifts. I need to check out the brush!
