I traveled to LA monthly for work for many years before finally taking the leap and moving to lala land. Here are the best beauty spots!
Brows
Striiike: Striiike is a little oasis tucked away in Beverly Hills. It's owned by three sisters (one does hair, one does brows and one does makeup) and even though they have an endless list of celeb clients, the place feels completely unpretentious and everyone is super warm and welcoming.
I have been a brow client for 5 years now. I usually see Tyler but I trust anyone there. Last time I saw Calvin and we added a brow lift to my usual tweeze + tint and I think it came out great.
Here’s a not-so-great photo of my brows right after but I promised it looked good.

Lindsay Victoria for cut
Dung for cut
Facial
Lashlette: I want to warn you: there are two red flags in this review. The first one being that this is clearly a lash salon and yet I am mentioning it for a facial. This is suspicious because how can you trust a lash place with your skin? The second red flag is the facial I am about to suggest is a Hydrafacial and I normally think Hydrafacials are dumb. And yet here I am, telling you to get a Hydrafacial at a lash place! So I really need you to trust me on this one. What makes the world of difference with this facial, and truthfully all facials, is the esthetician. At Lashlette, Mitzi the owner does all facials and she’s a wealth of knowledge. Each facial is custom, includes various modalities (not just the Hydrafacial machine) and it’s the only place where I feel like my pores get truly clean.

Biologique Recherche Ambassade - Los Angeles: This is their first flagship location in the US. I was so excited about them opening that I tracked down their number last year during their “soft launch” and had a treatment. It’s just like the Paris location. However, BR is very anti-extractions, hence my need to see Mitzi. Truth be told, I usually prioritize Lashlette over BR when I’m in LA, because I often get BR facials in Europe (Paris or Rome) yet it’s still an LA stop I recommend.

Lashes
Arianna Montazem: Back when I was still getting lash extensions, Ari was my LA girl! She came recommended by Andra from Courtney Akai. I maintain what I said in my other post–the reason I still had beautiful lashes after YEARS of extensions is because I went to very good lash techs who didn’t damage my lashes.

Lashlette: Of course I’m going to mention lashlette again. Now that I’m off my extension game, I’m all about the lash lift.

Acupuncture
Janet Chung Acupuncture & Herbal Medicine: Janet is the only acupuncturist I’ve tried in LA but I liked her so much, I didn’t look elsewhere. She also takes some insurance.

Colonics
Xell: Similarly to my NYC colonic recommendation, Xell is referral only. But DM me on Instagram and I’ll give you her number! Xell only does gravity colonics, which is what Gil and all his disciples practice. Gravity colonics are considered the only “true” colonic and the best/ safest method.
Here’s a great post about Xell and the gravity method on the Agent Nateur blog.
